Our first hike with the Senior Center this year...
off to the Ladders in the Mecca Hills...one of our favorites.
The start of the hike...I'm the official photographer (don't know how that happened),
but I think everyone likes that I bring my little tripod.
Always amazed at the canyons...so majestic!
Here's Carlotta scrambling to get into the slots...one would never know this is the entry,
but see the arrow in the background...that marks the spot.
We've come to the first section of ladders...
Barbara and I decided we'd rather come this way instead of....
...coming down this bent ladder.
No ladder here...just had to scramble up with a little help from those who were already on top.
Allan's waiting his turn to scramble...and he made it!
Another tight squeeze...Carolyn is on her way.
The ladder here isn't quite tall enough...so have to plant your feet firmly to make it on up.
Have climbed 3 ladders now...3 more to go to get into the slots...

Carolyn's new to our hiking group, a neighbor of ours, met her at a party
and talked her into going...she loved it!

Almost tall enough...glad I wasn't there when that one broke off.
